By exploring the use of Excel, Word and Publisher and Powerpoint we can all create authentic maths learning experiences for our classes without going out and purchasing and learning new pieces of software. You will be shown a number of ways each of these programmes can be used simply and effectively such as using word to teach geometry, data analysis, graphs and charts. This course links to lessons from the Ministry of Education “Figure It Out” series.

Has been working in primary schools for the last 10 years, as a teacher, ICT specialist and Deputy Principal, integrating programmes into the classroom as well as running the ICT departments of 4 schools in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He understands the frustrations of a classroom and assists teachers to overcome these with practical, easy to use ideas and strategies.
