Overview:
Feel you are a victim of photographic snobbery? Feel you never have the ‘right’ gear to take great images? This workshop shows great photographs come from an understanding of a few key visual design techniques not from having the flashiest equipment. Bring whatever picture making device you have and your sense of adventure. Includes brown bag style lunch.

Target audience:
This course is targeted to interest the general public.

Course format:
5 hours (1 hour pre-work, 2 hours shooting, 1.5 hours critiquing, 30 minute lunch break - packed lunch provided - included in course fee.)

What to bring:

•dress for the weather and conditions
•camera or smartphone or other picture taking device
•batteries (if necessary)
•memory card (if necessary)
•snack and water

Please note that this session is highly interactive and requires a general level of fitness. Participants will be walking for the majority of the workshop.

Class limit:
This course is limited to a maximum of 12 participants, so please enrol early.

Teacher:
Jordyn OKeeffe has been teaching adults how to be creative through the medium of photography for the past decade. She holds an advanced diploma of photography from Massey University, and her work has appeared in Next Magazine. Jordyn is passionate about getting students to see the benefits to their day-to-day lives of being creative. She is currently studying for an advanced diploma of creativity at the Learning Connexion.
