The Competitive Strength Report is built on research into the golden threads running through leading successful businesses and what makes them both resilient and able to embrace positive change. Confidential and honest appraisals from the core executive team provides insight into the current state of your business and any perceived risks that can have an effect on the status quo or future plans. The CSR can be done at any stage during a strategic planning cycle, as a prep to the traditional weekend away or planning session, to kick off the planning session, or at any time as a strategy review tool.

The survey is a web-based tool and typically takes about 40 minutes per individual, is built on an evaluation of the business, and is split into 2 sections, the Competitive Strength Quotient, each person’s assessment of how the enterprise is doing in 15 core areas, and the Abyss, which asks them to consider the impact of 60 different risk categories upon their business. The information is then collated (takes about a day) and a comprehensive report generated. The real value then comes in interpreting the combined responses, particularly areas of widespread concern or disagreement. There are templates in the report to create action plans on the back of any workshop, and that’s the important thing – action must follow assessment.
