Preventing Contractor Related Injuries and Incidents through an Effective Contractor Safety Management Process.
With the practice of outsourcing and project collaborations increasing across all industries and sectors, it has become imperative to integrate appropriate and efficient management processes to mitigate contractor risk while protecting your organisations legal responsibilities. The consequences of failing to effectively manage contractor safety has been demonstrated in the numerous cases where organisations have been prosecuted and fined for failing to ensure the safety of contractors.
Typically this has been due to a lack of understanding of the role of Principal and the associated responsibilities and failing to integrate a system of practice that monitors and continually assesses contractor safety.
This half day course will work as an interactive workshop and will provide key practice tools around;
• Roles and key responsibilities of each party.
• Minimum requirements to be included in an effective contractor management plan.
• Developing contractor safety best practice.
• Keeping contractor management processes simple yet effective.
