Elephant Training and HR

Essential Employment Law is a one day workshop with a post course assessment component to test base level knowledge of 12 pieces of employment legislation and case law. It is facilitated by Angela Atkins and/or Lisa Reidy who also facilitate the HRINZ Refresh HR workshops.

As with Refresh HR courses the content is very practical, with lots of discussions, real employee questions to answer, exercises, regular quizzes, case studies and employment case law examples. The post course assessment will include reading through six case studies and answering how you would deal with each, applying what you have learned. Feedback on your answers will be provided.

Angela Atkins has worked in HR and training roles for almost 15 years. She is the author of two bestselling NZ books: Management Bites and Employment Bites. She is the General Manager at Elephant Training - working as an HR Manager for SME's, designing and running training as well as other HR project work.

Lisa Reidy is an experienced senior HR Manager and Kaizen (continuous improvement) expert. She joined Elephant in 2009 and heads up our Business Services division. She works on business improvements, HR and facilitates training.
