Automatically qualifies you as a Provisional Auditor for both Health & Safety and Environment.
Upon successful completion of the course, attendees can apply for Provisional Auditor Grade for both Health & Safety and Environment under the RABQSA Auditor Certification Scheme.
The knowledge learnt can be immediately applied in your workplace.
The course complies with the RABQSA’s latest competency requirements. It makes extensive use of practical exercises, assignments and reports to guarantee the attendee can immediately and successfully apply the skills they learn.
You’ll be able to construct and audit HS&E Management Systems according to the Standards.
During the course, you will:
• identify risks and hazards due to operations;
• develop a HS&E Management System that complies with both
ISO 14001 & AS/NZS 4801;
• carry out an audit of a management system;
• prepare a written report based on your findings; and
• present your findings at a closing meeting.
Your qualification is recognized both nationally and internationally.
The course has been registered in Victoria, Australia by Chisholm Institute of Tertiary and Further Education and certified by RABQSA. Attendees completing the course will receive a Chisholm Institute short course certificate listing the RABQSA competency units.
Course content satisfies a range of training requirements.
The course will satisfy the needs of individuals:
• developing a Health & Safety, Environmental or integrated
Management System;
• managing a Health & Safety or Environmental Department;
• integrating existing Health & Safety and Environmental
Management Systems;
• carrying out internal company HS&E audits;
• auditing contractors or suppliers; or applying to become a
RABQSA Certified Auditor

Vic is a RABQSA Lead Environmental Auditor and Principal Consultant of V&C Environment Consultants Pty Ltd. Vic has worked in the environmental field for almost 30 years and been employed by the Victorian EPA and the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria. He has worked as an ISO 14001 Certification auditor and has certified some of Australia’s major companies. He has been presenter of Chisholm Institute of TAFE’s HS&E Lead Auditor Course for almost a decade, as well as developing and presenting numerous courses for industry. Vic is also a qualified Occupational Hygienist, giving him additional insights into the integration of Health & Safety and Environment.

John O’Reilly MNZSC, RSP, ASA


John has 30 plus years of industry experience. In the last 15 years, John has specialised in health and safety management in New Zealand and the UK. He has been the Regional Safety Manager for Mainzeal in Auckland and was also the HSE Manager for Leighton Contractors in New Zealand. John is one of only 35 Registered Safety Professionals (RSP) and is one of 37 Accredited Safety Auditors (ASA) here in New Zealand under the Safety Council. John is an active Board Member of the New Zealand Safety Council and is also known to many tradesman as ‘John the Oshman’; the Safety Columnist from the ‘Tool’ magazine for the past seven years
