NVivo functionality caters to academic, government and commercial researchers, and can be tailored to suit your personal working style.

Who Should Attend:
This course is for researchers engaged in qualitative research projects. No previous NVivo experience is required but good Windows and PC skills are assumed. It is strongly recommended that participants also enrol in NVivo Basics 2: Extending analysis functions.

Course Objectives:
* Understand how to set up a project in NVivo Work with data in NVivo
* Complete basic analysis of data using NVivo

* The NVivo interface
* Working with projects
* Preparing and working with data (sources)
* Node types and uses
* Creating and working with nodes
* Viewing coding and context
* Working with memos
* Linking
* Basic searching

Course Format:
This hands-on course is taught in our Computer Training Suite. There is a maximum of 12 participants and each participant has their own PC. Mac users can be accommodated with their own laptop.

Lyn Lavery is a researcher, software trainer and director of Academic Consultants.
Lyn also teaches NVivo Basics 2: Extending analysis functions and SPSS basics.
